Logging in to the Horizon App
Pre-Requisites
You will need the following:
- "Horizon Collaborate" licence or device specific softphone licence. Not every extension is enabled for this; if you require a licence and you aren't sure if you have one, please log a request on the helpdesk.
- An internal phone extension that is used solely by you (Group extensions will NOT work). Again, if you are unsure whether you have this, please contact ICT via the helpdesk
- A compatible smartphone - preferably a QCHA provisioned smartphone but generally most smartphones would be compatible regardless of platform. Please keep the operating software and app software up-to-date.
- In the case of QCHA provisioned hardware - you will need to be assigned the permissions to use the app. If you don't see the app on your phone, and all of the above applies, please contact ICT to deploy the application.
- Optional: An e-mail client capable of receiving QCHA e-mails installed and configured on your device.
NOTE: Horizon Collaborate is a monthly subscription service. DO NOT request this if you do not need it.
Sign in to the Horizon app
- First of all, make sure you have a licence (see above) and you have knowledge of your username and pasword (usually via e-mail from noreply@unlimitedhorizon.co.uk). These will be in the following format:
Username: ext###@queenscrosshousing.co.uk (where ### is your 3 digit extension number.
Password: ########-####-####-####-############ (alphanumeric password)
- Navigate to your e-mail client on your phone and find the client password (or password reset) e-mail from noreply@unlimitedhorizon.co.uk).
- Press and hold on the password with your finger until the password is selected. Adjust the left and right selection markers as appropriate and select "Copy"
- Switch to the Horizon app on your smartphone.
- Read the Licence agreement, or simply press "Accept" to continue
- Enter your username first. Username is usually in the format of ext###@queenscrosshousing.co.uk. Tap and hold the password field to bring up the context options. Tap paste to copy over your Horizon password. Alternatively, type the password!!! Press "Sign In"
- Accept the required hardware permissions
- If this is your first time setup, or the application cache has been cleared / app re-installed, you will be prompted to enter your phone number. This is looking for your mobile phone number (use your work mobile number here):
- You will be taken to the home screen. You have successfully installed and configured Horizon. Tap the Menu icon up the top left to see all app functionality.
- That's it!
