HP Laptop - Camera not working / Camera screen is Black
Applies to HP Elitebook 840 (G6, G7 and G8) laptops.
Does you camera appear to be a solid black picture to other people on your Teams / Zoom call? Check the following:

Check your software -
- Does your software, typically Teams or Zoom, recognise your camera is attached?
- If you have multiple cameras, is the correct camera selected? e.g. If using the laptop with it's lid down, and using a USB camera, are you using the USB camera?
- Does the software in which you are trying to use the camera have exclusive access to the camera? e.g. If Zoom is using the camera, Teams cannot (and vice versa)

Docking Station in use? This might be obvious, but worth checking. Are you using the laptop attached to a docking station with the lid closed down? If so, open the Lid.

Privacy Shutter - Less obvious, and easier to miss is the Privacy Shutter. See below and act accordingly.
